Social Media, Marketing, CMS Web Development, Packaging, Game Design
Aliens Love Ice Cream is a lighthearted, cooperative board game I designed to help players build real teamwork skills through playful collaboration. Set in outer space, players work together to deliver wacky ice cream orders to alien customers while facing challenges that test their communication and coordination. Inspired by insights from local designers and shaped through community feedback, the game creates a fun, low-stakes environment where players can grow their collaborative abilities—whether they’re strategizing with friends or connecting with new people over a shared goal.
Strategy
Rooted in collaborative design, Aliens Love Ice Cream was shaped by meaningful partnerships with experience board game designers Dr. Jason Cox and Colin Amos. Additional insights were gathered from local board game groups and creative writing clubs. Their insights helped guide the development of gameplay that prioritizes teamwork, communication, and player connection. To support this focus, a minimalist art style was chosen, ensuring that attention remains on collaborative action. After all, the best design is the kind you hardly notice, because it works.
