Eruption Soda is a playful, explosive twist on the typical soda experience. Designed to be paired with Mentos, this product transforms an ordinary drink into a volcano-inspired eruption. With packaging shaped like a volcano and bottle designs that vary by flavor, the product invites users to engage directly with their drink. Bright colors, bold graphics, and simple step-by-step instructions, "OPEN, DROP, RUN!"

The creation of Eruption Soda balanced playful innovation with real-world packaging standards. Care was taken to include all the necessary labeling, nutritional info, barcodes, and ingredients, while designing an interactive volcano-inspired package that also functioned as the base for the eruption experience. To ensure the concept worked both visually and functionally, two physical mockups were produced. These prototypes were not only used for photography and display but were also tested with actual Mentos to test the eruption mechanic and deliver the best intended user experience.

The ERUPTION SODA! packaging was designed to serve as both an eye-catching product display and an interactive part of the user experience. Shaped like a volcano, the package doubles as the eruption base when used with Mentos, encouraging hands-on fun. Each bottle features a custom label tailored to its flavor, complete with playful typography, bright colors, and functional elements like ingredient lists, barcodes, and instructions.
